Only players who have registered with Score Five through and who have accepted its terms & conditions are eligible to play our Games. Terms and conditions. As a condition of your participation in any of our Games you also expressly agree to be bound by these relevant Game rules as well as our general terms and conditions.

  • "Score Five" refers to the owners, organiser[s] and management of any Game, jointly or severally, as the context may require.

  • All players' eligibility for our Game prizes will be based on their country and/or state of residence at the time of initial registration. It is your responsibility to record this correctly and to notify us if you are at the time of registration, or subsequently become, ineligible to win any prize.

  • Players may join private community Game leagues when so invited. The manager of each community league has the sole discretion as to which players are invited and admitted into that league, what additional rules may apply to that league regarding their private use/ management and administration and Score Five has no responsibility for such.

  • Players must complete, enter and save their predictions/tips on the Game system before the published deadlines for each round of fixtures. NB: If players do not enter any tips for a round, unless there is a Five Lives feature in play, they will score no points in that round. Apart from any available Five Lives feature, there is no automatic default tipping feature to "save" a player from this penalty for not entering any tips. Players must always enter a full set of tips and, where required, a banker and save such. Late entrants to any season-long or competition-long game will enjoy the benefits of the Five Lives feature, up to a maximum of five rounds or such other lesser limit as may apply to that Game, to receive points for any previous tipping rounds they have not competed in. Five Lives feature Where any player benefits from the Five Lives feature, his/her ability to win any Game prize may be affected as stated and explained in the Five Lives feature from time to time.

  • The total number of points scored by a player shall initially be used to determine individual league rankings, winners and potential prize winners. In the event of ties we will use tie breakers as explained below and in the "How to play" webpage. How to Play

  • Our tie breakers are designed to provide a winner where two or more players are initially tied in any round competition or end of a longer Game. Details of how our tie breakers operate are set out in the "How to play" webpage.

  • A round of fixtures is a group of games to be played, as determined by Score Five, which will have regard to their timing.

  • Except as otherwise stated in any supplemantal individual Game rules, after publication of the fixtures list, any games that the relevant governing body subsequently delays, voids, postpones or reschedules, for any reason, will not count in that round of fixtures unless so commenced on or before the start of the first game of the next published scheduled round of fixtures. Any game excluded from a round of fixtures will count in the round of fixtures for when it is subsequently rescheduled and played. For these games, players must re-enter and save their tips at the time of the rescheduled game. Previous tips will become void and NOT carried forward by the system.

  • All dates and times are based on Greenwich Mean Time.

  • Predictions/tips that are not entered and saved online on the Score Five system by players will not register or be valid for any Game.

  • Predictions/tips may be amended by players as often as they wish, but in any event all predictions and revisions, if any, must be entered and saved before the published round fixture deadline.

  • Players may register and save their tips as far in advance as they like once the Game round is published by Score Five.

  • In the event that the Score Five systems are unavailable to players, Score Five may, at its sole discretion, void any fixtures so affected and the relevant competition will be completed on the basis of fixtures already completed and any remaining valid fixtures as determined by Score Five.

  • Objections by players to missing or incorrect points will only be entertained by Score Five where all relevant requested data is provided by a player, which includes your printed confirmation of your tips. Objections will only be entertained within 10 days of the relevant fixture deadline. Score Five's decision on any objection shall be final and binding.

  • Subject to Score Five's overriding decision making powers, points will be scored in accordance with the scoring system described below and in our "How to play" as will points from our "Bankers Pool/Last man standing" competition. Injury time/time added on, but not extra time or any other means of determining the result is included in the standard regulation game time. Abandonments shall be scored according to the ruling of the relevant governing body and any abandonment replays will count when so played.

  • Score Five's decision on any aspect of the interpretation of these rules together with the administration and running of any Score Five game shall be conclusive and binding on all Players.

  • Score Five reserves the right to clarify, amend or vary the rules of any Game and its terms and conditions at its sole discretion. Players will be notified of any amendments which will also be posted here.

Football match game points are awarded for a combination of players' skill in forecasting the correct result and for correctly forecasting the number of goals scored by either team at the end of normal regulation time (including injury time/time added on, but excluding extra time and penalty shootouts) or as otherwise ruled upon by the governing body in case of abandonment, on the following basis:

Correct result (win, lose or draw)

2 points

Correct score

1 point per team

Bonus point for forecasting the correct score of both teams

1 point

Total maximium points available from each match "Perfect Five"

5 points

Your result is determined by reference to your forecasted goals scored by each team.

Example A:

  • Suppose you forecast X to beat Y 3 - 2

  • And the actual score was X 3 - Y 4

  • You would get 0 points for your result forecast (it was an away win vs the home win you predicted), but 1 point for correctly predicting team X to score 3 goals.

Example B:

  • Suppose you forecast M to beat N 3 - 2

  • And the actual score was M 3 - N 0

  • You would get 2 points for the correctly forecasting the result (a home win), team M to win, and 1 point for correctly predicting team M to score 3 goals.

Example C:

  • Suppose you forecast D to beat E 3 - 2

  • And the actual score was D 3 - E 2

  • You would get 2 points for your result forecast (a home win), and 2 x 1 extra points for correctly predicting each team's goals AND

  • You’d get a bonus point for correctly forecasting both teams’ goals. That's five points in all, a "Perfect Five", Score Five!!

FIVE Banker bonus points are awarded for getting the correct basic result (Home win, Away Win or Draw) on your designated banker game only. So, in the above examples, if you had chosen those matches as your banker, you would have received no banker bonus for the X vs Y match; but 5 banker bonus points in the M vs N and D vs E matches. Note: Score Five's decision on any result shall be definitive and binding for the purposes of scoring for any game.
